Boxing Day is a traditional holiday on the day after Christmas. In many countries it is celebrated as the feast day of St. Stephen. It is a continuation of the Christmas celebrations.

In the United Kingdom Boxing Day is a holiday that goes back centuries. It was once a day for employers to give their servants and employees special gifts known as “Christmas boxes” filled with gifts and money. Today it is still celebrated in the UK and many commonwealth nations. It is a secular holiday which is a big shopping day in some of these countries with many stores offering long hours and huge sales.
