Bachelor / Bachelorette Parties

Bachelor / Bachelorette Parties

While bridal showers or engagement parties are traditionally more “elegant” affairs, often with extended family in attendance, bachelor and bachelorette parties are a chance for the bride and groom to really let loose with the wedding party and maybe a few of their closest friends. Typically, the bride and groom have separate celebrations; only women attend the bride’s and only men attend the groom’s. Most of these parties involve dancing, drinking, and some sexual themes. They are organized by the maid of honor and the best man, respectively, for the bride and groom. One of the most popular modern trends in bachelor/bachelorette parties is the idea of a destination celebration. This means that instead of bar-hopping for a few hours, the group heads to a different location for a weekend of fun. Popular choices include New York, Las Vegas, and Nashville.
