Holidays & Observances in Oman

Oman is an Arab country in the Middle East. Its people enjoy a relatively high standard of living brought on by the oil industry. The culture of Oman is a mixture of traditional and luxury. Many people wear traditional clothing on a daily basis along with expensive jewelry to show wealth. Omani women have more freedom than in many of the surrounding countries, participating in government and business. Islam is the most common religion, and its holidays are widely celebrated across the nation.
