Earth Day

Earth Day

Earth Day is a day to celebrate the Earth and learn about what you can do to make the environment better. It was first celebrated in 1970 in the US, when environmental issues were first becoming known to the general public. That year on April 22, millions of people joined rallies and demonstrations across the country to fight for more environmental protections from the government. The movement that brought us Earth Day has already done so much to help the environment, but more still needs to be done. This is the day to figure out what you can do to live a more environmentally friendly life.
