Ramadan

Ramadan

Ramadan is the holiest month of the year according to Muslim faith. It is the ninth month of the year on the Islamic calendar. According to the Quran, Muhammad first received the holy revelations from Allah at the end of Ramadan. Therefore, Ramadan is a time for religious devotion in thanks. Fasting is the most important element of Ramadan, as it is one of the 5 pillars of Islam to do so. Muslims are required to refrain from food, drink, and sexual activities during daylight hours for the entire month of Ramadan. It is also a time for increased prayer, Quran studying, and giving to charity.
