Nevada Day is a Public holiday in Nevada that falls on the last Friday in October. It celebrates Nevada becoming the 36th state on October 31, 1864. Today, most businesses and schools are closed on this day. Official celebrations take place Carson City, Nevada, including a parade that has been an annual tradition since 1938.
