However, if you choose the most popular candies more people are sure to love them. We've done the hard work for you and chosen the top 30 most popular candies in the US. The top ten candies are ranked based on the best selling candies in America as published by 24/7 Wall Street. From there we ranked the next 20 candies based on a survey of nearly 30,000 American households done by Statista.
Before we get started on the list, we should mention a survey from Huffington Post regarding what people want for Halloween. According to the survey, chocolate is the best choice for Halloween candy, as 63% of people want chocolate more than anything else. Avoid candy corn, gum, hard candy, or Good&Plenty, as those are all candies many people want to avoid.

Junior mints are an easy candy to hand out on Halloween with the small fun-sized boxes and they are sure to be unique in any kid’s trick-or-treat bag. But, if you’re looking to give out a popular candy, you can probably do better.
