All Saints' Day

All saint's day

All Saints Day is a feast day that celebrates all Christian saints, particularly those who don’t have a feast day of their own. It is celebrated on November 1st by most people, but many Eastern Christians celebrate it on the Sunday after Pentecost.

All Saints Day traditionally celebrates those souls that have reached heaven. People often spend this day commemorating deceased loved ones. They often visit graveyards to decorate the graves of both the people they do know, and those they don’t. Candles are lit in the memory of deceased loved ones and members of the congregation.
