Easter Eggs

Easter Monday is celebrated the day after Easter. Many countries have it as a public holiday where citizens can take the time to rest after the long Holy Week. Some countries may have parades and festivities. In the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Monday after Easter is known as “Bright Monday” it begins what is known as “Bright Week.” It often includes outdoor processions and blessing with holy water. In the United States there is traditionally an Easter egg roll across the White House lawn.
