The Elephant Festival

The Elephant Festival

The Elephant Festival is a symbolic festival celebrating the analogy that Buddha used with an example of a wild elephant that when caught, is has the potential to be trained. Int the same way, any person new to Buddhism has the potential to be trained when seeking the friendship and support of an older initiated Buddhist.

This is the essence of the Elephant Festival that happens in the third Saturday of November.
