The Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul

St. Peter's Basilica

The Feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul celebrates two highly important figures in the Catholic Church. St. Peter was one of Christ’s twelve apostles and is considered to be the first Catholic pope. St. Paul converted to Christianity after Christ’s death. He spent the rest of his life spreading Christianity and founding churches. It is celebrated in several countries around the world, but the most important celebration happens in Rome and Vatican City, home of the pope and St. Peter’s Basilica.
