In a world that often feels intent on separating us, Patti’s mission is to spotlight the good in every belief system, every culture, and every community.

Her entrepreneurial journey began long before Holiday Smart. As a single mother of four, Patti built and ran her digital agency while raising her children with resilience, creativity, and optimism. She understands firsthand the courage it takes to build something from nothing and the power of carving out joy during life’s busiest seasons. That lived experience now fuels her passion for mentoring midlife entrepreneurs, especially women who are starting over. She actively encourages women in midlife to see this season not as an ending, but as an expansion. Her forthcoming book on midlife entrepreneurship and reinvention will share the mindset, strategy, and heart-centered leadership principles that have shaped her own journey.

Patti is also the founder of Walk in the Sand, where she champions beach preservation and environmental stewardship. She created Walk in the Sand Day, World Beach Day, and World Beach Month to draw attention to the beauty and fragility of our coastlines. Personally committed to walking at least a mile on every beach she visits, she transforms appreciation into awareness, and introspection into action. 

Beyond holidays and beaches, Patti is an advocate for new age education models that nurture creativity, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, and real-world skills. She believes education should empower individuality, innovation, and lifelong learning rather than conformity. Her work consistently reflects her belief that we grow strongest when we are encouraged to think expansively and lead authentically.

Now in midlife, Patti is living untethered and joyfully curious. Traveling across the United States, petsitting in communities large and small, dating, meeting new friends, and immersing herself in diverse corners of the country, she shares her reflections in the “Jewel’s Journey” column and many other features on Holiday Smart. She is also a strong advocate for single mom entrepreneurs and midlife women reclaiming their independence, showing through her own example that reinvention is not only possible, it can be exhilarating.
