The ancient polytheistic religion of Greece is no longer practiced there, but it is still an important part of the modern culture. Greek mythology is studied not only in Greece, but all around the world. Today Greece is one of the most religious countries in Europe, with most of the population belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church. Christian holidays are very important across the country.
