United Nations International Weeks

Designated International Weeks Observed by the United Nations celebrates or brings awareness to a topic or theme in order to promote action and unite countries to actively participate. Many of the observances are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations that may include UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO and others when the issue is related to their focus and then adopted by the UN General Assembly.
