“e” Day is February 7th

e in mathematics is a constant known as “Euler’s number” after Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler. It is 2.7182818..., a number used in logarithms to describe a nonlinear increase or decrease such as growth or decay. Similar to Pi Day, the date of this holiday honors the number itself. This holiday is celebrated by mathematicians and can be a great way for teachers to help their students learn more about e and all of its uses.
