Hunger Awareness Day is a day designated to bring attention to the issue of hunger and malnutrition around the world, and to raise funds and awareness for those who are affected. According to the United Nations, around 795 million people – one in nine – do not have enough food to lead a healthy life. This is unacceptable, and we must do something to help those in need.
There are many ways that you can get involved in Hunger Awareness Day. You can donate to one of the many organizations working to combat hunger, such as the World Food Programme or Action Against Hunger. You can also spread the word about this important issue, and encourage others to get involved. And if you’re able, you can volunteer your time to help with local food banks or soup kitchens.
No one should go hungry, and by working together, we can make a difference. So on June 6, let’s all do our part to raise awareness and fight hunger.
