Today is January 28th, Pop Art day! Pop Art formed in the United Kingdom and the United States around the 1950’s. This movement really transformed the art style at the time into something totally new. Pop Art was totally unique as it defied a lot of the classic, more fine arts. Pop Art has a definite unique style, take the original Campbell’s soup can for example, as it is one of the most famous examples from the Pop Art movement. Comic books are just about the prime example of pop art, fun colors, big words and sharp designs. If you like Comics, trying to create some of your own unique art in the Pop Art, comic book style is a great idea!

Pop art has a very unique look to it, as it could be described as abstract. Pop art is around everywhere and has influenced many new art styles and genres. Pop Art really focuses on color and typography when it comes to what you see. Since this art style focuses so much on the words, lettering and colors, some really unique and cool pieces and styles have come from the entire Pop Art style.

Pop Art is one of the more basic art styles, anyone can create a Pop Art piece! This day is a great time to sit down with some colored pencils, markers or paints and create some Pop Art!
