Rocky Road Day celebrates the popular combination of chocolate, nuts, and marshmallows most commonly used in ice cream. It can also make cupcakes, cookies, brownies or fudge. The ice cream flavor was invented in March of 1929 by William Dreyer. It was then that the combination got its name. There are several different variations of rocky road, especially in other countries. For instance, Australians often add cherries, coconut, and turkish delight while Brits omit the nuts and add biscuits.
